We participate in the “European Research Night”

The Càtedra Educació i Patrimoni Immaterial dels Pirineus of the UdL presents the Prometheus project

The Chair presents the Prometheus project through a poster at the European Research Night, which this year is being held virtually. The Chair team has prepared an interactive infographic where the project and its main objectives are exposed, as well as some of its actions.

Prometheus is the project on the Pyrenean Solstice Fire Festivities and aims to contribute to the continuity of recognition of the Pyrenean faults as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, which inscribed the festival on its lists on December 1st. December 2015 at the proposal of the candidacy headed by Andorra, and with the adhesion of Spain and France. It has eight partners: the Government of Andorra, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Conselh Generau d’Aran, the Board of Economic Promotion of the Diputació de Lleida, CIRDOC, the UPVD, the UB, and the Càtedra Educació i Patrimoni Immaterial dels Pirineus of the UdL, which heads it.

The European Research Night is a public event dedicated to the popularization of science. It is celebrated, every year, in different cities in Europe at the same time. Its objective is to bring research and its protagonists closer to the public of all ages. Its main motto is “Research for change”. At the University of Lleida, the GREiA research group is in charge of coordinating all the activities that will take place on the afternoon of November 27.
