The Montsagre school from Horta de Sant Joan is the first to put the activities of the Animalades suitcase to the test
We started with the pilot tests of the Animalades suitcase, which is part of the project coordinated by Anna Solé, member of the Chair of Education and Intangible Heritage of the Pyrenees, and which has been made by Obaga Activitats. The didactic proposals have been presented to a teaching group from the Montsagre school from Horta de Sant Juan, who have helped to evaluate its contents. At the end of this evaluation phase, the suitcase will be found in different Pedagogical Resource Centers to be used in the classroom.
The Animalades project focuses on the study of core species such as the rabbit, the wild boar and the roe deer. These are present in Catalonia and serve to develop contents of natural and social environment subjects. The objective is that these core species accompany the students to understand their relationship with the environment and to develop a critical spirit and sensitivity in relation to nature.
During this period, the Chair will continue to carry out pilot tests with schools throughout Catalonia, such as Cornudella de Montsant, Vallmoll and Esterri d’Àneu, among others. Soon, the official presentation of the project will be made.
