Students will participate in the pilot test of the project
The Chair of Education and Intangible Heritage of the Pyrenees of the University of Lleida (UdL) has presented to the teachers of the Els Raiers de la Pobla de Segur school the fallaire suitcase, which consists of different activities in the natural environment, social environment, Catalan language and physical education, among others.
Different students from the territory will participate in the pilot test of the fallaire suitcase, which began in November in Berguedà, in the schools of Bagà and Sant Julià de Cerdanyola. During the months of January and February, it will be tested by the students of the Els Raiers de la Pobla school. Then those from Andorra and those from Pallars Sobirà will do it. Once the pilot test is over, all schools interested in introducing the Fallaire world to the educational curriculum will be able to order the suitcases from their resource center.
With this project, we want to bring the history of fallas and the traditions that surround this festival, the culture and the different ways of making fallas, and the materials and procedures, to the classrooms.
The fallaire suitcase is one of the projects carried out by the Chair on Education and Intangible Heritage of the Pyrenees. This is part of a set of actions dedicated to the dissemination of falles, their enhancement and research.
