The Chair of Education and Intangible Heritage of the Pyrenees from Lleida’s University (UdL) perceives heritage as a primary source of knowledge that also provides individual and collective enrichment enabling the possibility to reaffirm the identity, the sense of belonging, sustainable development and a firm commitment towards safeguarding. All people, regardless of age or cultural level, can receive this education.
The Chair is working on a virtual educational platform to continue serving with its educational labors. A space for teachers and students with all the resources related to the different projects such as Fallas, Haros and Brandons, Piroslife, Animalades and much more! We will make the official presentation soon.
PROMETHEUS is a project that arises as a result of this recognition of the Summer Solstice Festival in the Pyrenees by UNESCO and aims to capitalize it through cross-border innovation carried out in universities and research centers. The project will develop a joint strategy in the field of social sciences.
